Test Result
Understand the steps from pre-exam preparation to result notification, including what to expect when you pass or need to retake the Life in the UK test.
1. Pre-Exam Preparation
- Upon arrival at the test center, your documents will be verified.
- Photos will be taken, and you will undergo a security scan.
2. Taking the Test
- An examiner will escort you to a computer in the exam room.
- Complete and submit your test on the provided computer.
3. After the Test
- Results are not immediately displayed on the screen upon submission.
- Exit the exam hall and consult with the invigilator if you have any queries about the results process.
4. Result Notification
- You will receive your test results via your registered email within 10 mins to 24 hours.
- If you do not receive your results within this time frame, contact the Home Office for further support.
5. Outcome of the Test

When you Pass

You will receive a congratulatory message at registered email certifying that you have met the requirements for indefinite leave to remain or naturalization as a British citizen.

A Unique Reference Number (URN) for your Life in the UK test will be provided.
